Stout medal for 2013?

Has the Stout medal been announced for 2013? did I miss this down the line? Just can't remember hearing about it yet.

It will be announced this coming Friday evening after the Board meets in Atlanta!! ( Oct. 11th.) It should be up on the website by about 9 PM CST.

I haven't checked it out yet, but I got an email saying there's a poll on the AHS site where you can see which ones are in the running and "vote" just for fun.

Now back to lurking. I have been a member of this board for awhile. I appreciate all the help and fun that you have been to me. I just don't usually have anything to say. But I did know the answer to this question. :-)

Heavenly Angel Ice won the Stout this year. I think it was Edward that posted such a nice picture of it here some time ago. That's how I remembered it anyway.......Maryl

HAI has been a wonderful plant for me. A heavy bloomer, and a reliable re-bloomer. Good choice.

I also noted that the number one winner of the Award of Merit is Santa's Little Helper. My favorite red. Since I grow roses I'm more used to the warm crimson red of roses not the scarlets, cherry, and brick reds of daylilies. But this daylily comes very close to a rose red and is an excellent daylily to boot. A deserved award winner......Maryl.....Santa's Little Helper:
