Sounds good to me. Those daylilies need sunlight. And if you are extra lucky maybe you will even have room for more new ones. I know it will look great when it is finished.

Thanks, Rita. I have "discovered another area to plant as well. DH has always tried to plant tomatoes there, and it has never done well. It is rather sandy, thus will need amendments, but it might be a pretty place for a mixed planting with perennials, daylilies and annuals...I will likely plant some pansies there for now too. It is actually a small hill of soil in back of the daylily bed that is backed by blueberry bushes.

Can't see it, but it is to the right of these bushes here on the right.

I will be back weeding and cutting daylily foliage in a little while. Still have to weed the area where I will plant tulips too. Always work for a gardener as you, of all people, very well know.

That looks like a very pretty area. I know it will all be wonderful when you are done. I just love it when I "find" more space. I have actually been doing that for years but I doubt there is any extra space here to find any longer.
