Decoding tags in garden

I purchased a home that was previously owned by someone who cultivated daylilies (neighbors have said the guy was a member of some society and was fairly well known, not sure if that's true or not. They're all tagged...but what do all the little letters/numbers on the tags mean? Can anyone help me decipher? I'd like to get them all into an excel file to keep track of them. Thanks!

Letters could be the initials of the name of the daylilies that were crossed.Numbers could be year and/or seedling number.

You could post some of the ones you have and perhaps we can help you decipher. Not everyone records their daylily seedlings the same way but at least you would have an idea of what they could be.
