Thanks Celeste. Dont know what their problem was, but they sure putting out the blooms now..I bought very small little plants back in early spring at this feed store greenhouse, and intended to plant them in the ground, but, after trying to dig a hole in the hard ground and couldnt even put a dent in the ground,I decided to put them in some 15 inch pots I had.

I've learned over the years that not all Lantanas are created equal. There are alot of them out there that stop blooming when the heat sets. I heard they were heat resistant, but apparently the person that said that wasn't from the south, because when we say heat we mean months over 90, with weeks (or more)over 100. I've yet to grow a multicolored Lantana that bloomed during our heat. They may be out there now, but I gave up on them and the whites years ago. I concentrate on the yellows now and have found a few that bloom regardless of temperatures. Of course finding the same variety every year at the local "one size fits all" nurseries is a problem. I've got a couple of yellows this year that were a new variety and they did pretty well during our high heat. Still blooming as we speak. I've had to move them out of their prominent place to replace them with my beloved pansies. I so look forward to pansies in the fall.....Yours is a pretty thing Jean, and it looks like after a bumpy start in October (we already had a light frost), we are in for a couple of really nice weeks of good weather (it's about time)....Maryl
