Gezz, Scapes Up in November

| I just can't believe these two daylilies but they want to bloom now. Or at least soon as they have big fat rebloom scapes up. I don't see how they can possibley get to actually bloom this late in the year but they sure are trying!
One huge rebloom scape up on AUGUST WEDDING which looks near ready to bloom. I don't even think this is a rebloomer. Then there are two smaller rebloom scapes on CLARITY OF VISION. Hey, I didn't get the instant rebloom on this one that is supposed to happen but this is way to late in the year to do any good. Going to hit a freeze before they bloom for sure.

| Wow Rita. I had On silken thread bloom on Oct 30th. I think the daylilies really really liked all the rain we have gotten this year. I had rebloom on stuff that never rebloomed and seed pods galore. The pods were full too. I'm seeing increase already on many too. Isn't it great! If they do get a chance to open please post a pic. color this time of year is a real treasure. Kim |

| IMHO, it's just better to snap these late scapes off. Have had to snap off a few here too. But there's no way they will be able to bloom, so what's the point in letting the plant waste energy? |

If it's ready to bloom, get a pic for us!! I also had some scapes coming up, just as if it were spring!!! They were on Incendiary, I sure hope this doesn't mean the bloom time is out of sync. I planted them new in July, from Maryott, but the best thing was they have increased by 2 fans. I cut the scapes, they had just started as you can see, so I figured there was no way I was gonna have a bloom in December. Oh well :( By the way, we did get a little snow today, just flying around in the air. Cindy |
