I know that several of our forum friends live in the south where the tornadoes hit. I hope your all safe.

Here, we've been given a fresh blanket of snow to cover all the garden beds. The drifts look to be over 2 feet in front of the garage apron so the snowblower will get a workout today.

More to come but gotta get my coffee and catch up on the posts. Not ready yet to tackle the snow clean up.

Hi, Julia, just read your latest post on Jean's thread, and you are having quite a time with the snow. I saw on the Weather Channel that your area had been "snow starved" for some time, so now maybe, you will have plenty of snow to make up for what didn't happen before. Here, we are hoping for more rain, but it would take 10-12 inches for us to achieve "average" for this year. Nevertheless, we have had more rain this year than the last two, so that is something. Stay safe and warm. Avedon

Hi, Julia. Mobile (south Alabama) had aChristmas tornado. My DG ad his family live there. It took a while to get in touch with him, but the big goon hadn't realized a tornado had hit his town. His much younger sister had choice words for his being unaware...allmy family was okay. How about Mississipi and Texas?
