Glad to hear they are doing well. Your lucky to have a greenhouse to overwinter in. Was there a reason you didn't plant in the ground? Are you winters like ours here in NY? Seems like we get a few flurries and then the temps jump back up and it rains. Looks to be another odd winter season for us again so far. Maybe in January it will turn much colder.

Hi Julia. Yes, the weather just yoyos up and down. a hard freeze, then a couple of days later, it warms up to 70s. It is always Thanksgiving before the companies send bulbs to plant here.

It has been below normal a fair number of days, but normal is mid fifties.

I don't like to plant bare root fans if the weather is likely to turn very cold unexpectedly. I will probably plant them very soon since they are well rooted now, but will expose them to cooler temps (the shed) first.

Kay, keep us posted on how it continues to develop. It's the only daylily that tempted me this year. So far, I have resisted. Due to the severe problem with crown rot for the past two years, I hesitate buying anything until and if we can stop that rapid-killing disease. All of my 2012 seedlings are being pot-grown now.
