Need help finding a variety's name

Hi,

My neighbor gave me a few of these daylilies and I am having a hard time finding the name of the variety. It is a large flower that blooms from May-July in Vancouver, BC with multiple flowers per stalk. The foliage is also quite large and grows to be a 1.5-2ft tall. If anyone can help me, it would be much appreciated. I doubt that it is a fancy variety since the people said they bought it from a local garden store.

Hi, I love your pic. I'm wondering if it could be Chicago Apache? It would be easy to find at a garden centre. Mine is a bit redder here in the clayish soil of Northumberland Strait, Nova Scotia...But, I've seen it similar to your shade...great color and a great plant...cheers, lloyd...P.S...It could be something else, though..:) ..just guessing.

I have no idea about its name eitherr, but its a beauty.love them reds.

looks like my Vintage Bordeaux by Kirchoff (1986). Depends of course if it is an evergreen . Fits the time of bloom and approximate height . Color varies some dependant on soil composition. On Tinker's it is described as black cherry , I grow in very heavy clay so it is a bit lighter than what I would call black cherry but is what I would call a dark deep wine colour

I second Bluenosens - Chicago Apache is the first thought came to mind when I saw it. There are several of them in my garden, and I am so in love with them! Color is spectacular, long lasting, and they really stand out.
