I got lots of eggs (thanks to chickens), I'll try ANYTHING! I'll also add garlic too.

I use the Deer Off spray, and it is rotten eggs, garlic and peppers and it works great. I know it would be cheaper to make my own, but I am lazy! They hate strong smells!

My friend recommended "Shot Gun" deer and rabbit spray...it has egg, garlic, and capsaicin...pew, does it smell when it is sparying, but not afterward. The deer are just starting to move out of the woods now as they become drier...so we'll see if that plus my additional soap and cheap liquid hot sauce keeps them from dining on my beautiful plants. I would actually like to see my hostas bloom and stay leafy all summer.

I've used the 'eau de rotten egg' spray adding garlic and tobasco and it works like a charm. Of course it gunked up the sprayer and I never thought of straining it DUH! Thanks for the tip.

Do you spray it directly on the plants they eat, or just around the area? I'd think that dried egg on big beautiful hosta leaves would be unsightly. What happens when it dries?

i have a veggie garden so it wouldn't make my plants taste like rotten egg would it?

If I were to punch a few holes in some containers, make up the egg wash, fill and set these containers among my plants, it wouldn't wash away in the rain. I'm thinking it wouldn't evaporate much either. Do you suppose this would work? It should last the whole season! Has anyone tried this? I could use old jam or pickle jars and bury them flush with the ground, they wouldn't even be seen until garden cleanup in the fall.
