Groundcover suggestions?

Here is a rendering of my house with the area that I want planted with groundcover highlighted in red. Because of a few small trees which I didn't show, the area gets slightly dappled PM sunlight from the south and west. Not quite full PM sun, but close enough. Summers are very hot, needless to say.

Invasiveness won't be a problem here. The area gets heavily sprinkled every 4 to 5 days from late spring to early fall to keep the trees alive.

The standard groundcover in the area is Asian Jasmine, which is overused, in my opinion. Vinca Minor may be a possibility but I'm also considering some of the groundcovers shown at Steppables, like Cerastium 'Snow in Summer', Sedum 'John Creech', Thymus 'Archer's Gold'.

Any suggestions?
