Screening Plants

Our street is on a steep grade. Therefore, each house is elevated a good bit higher than the neighbor to the right. We have had a vacant lot next to us since we bought the house -- until now. We need something that will provide a thick privacy screen which will grow about 15 feet high. We have a pool so we are looking for a quick growing answer which doesn't get very big around - just very tall. We do have a fence with an established lady banks rose vine. Could we build a very substanial trellis?

Help!
Rhonda

RE: Screening Plants

Emerald cedars perform very well as screening plants and grow as tall as 15 feet. They can also be pruned to a narrow shapw should it be necessary.
