I have two large pine trees. I have a straight line of roses passing by one of the trees and a line of ligustrums by the other. Both plants planted close to the pine trees are much smaller. I do water the ones close to the trees a lot more,but does not seem to help,also they get plenty sunlight. Someone told me that pine trees take something out of the soil and that whats hurting the plants. What would I need to fertilize with to help the problem?
