Cedar tolerant plants

I have a huge cedar tree with the crown starting approx 20 ft high. Most of the day it's base is in the shade, but @ 3 pm it's in very direct hot sun for a couple of hours. I have a mulched area below it and would like to plant something flowering around the base of it.

Can anyone suggest cedar tolerant perennial flowering plants that would flourish there?

Thnx!

Pulmonaria, Heuchera, Hosta, and Daylilies can all handle shade and attract hummingbirds. Hope this helps.
