Has anyone had success growing Irish Moss near Black Walnut trees? I'm not finding it on any tolerant/sensitive lists.

I just finished laying a sandstone flagstone path & planned to divide a crop of Irish Moss to fill-in around them. The path is >40' from the current drip-line & I didn't expect to find so many thin walnut roots in the area.

I have Irish Moss planted now in an area which gets covered w/ a medium amount of autumn leaves & stems but not exposed to the roots, and it seems okay.

I know Thyme won't survive in the new spot, so planned on the Irish Moss, but due to a big brain-glitch I never thought to check...
