My two cents' worth ... i tried it. I works.

Well, I am 'out there' so the deer aren't too desperate. When the clover I've planted in the 'yard' comes, they usually leave the garden pretty much alone.

Summer July was dry so some problems came up with groundhogs and deer.

I took the advice of an Oriental gal who works in the local hardware store... I had mentioned to her that I heard that the main ingredient in the commercial deer repellant is eggs, (and I figured it was the sulphur), she rememeberd that her mother would set eggs around in their garden 'back home."

Worked for me. I took eggshells and let 'em get good and stinky in water in the sun, sprayed it, voila. Problem solved.
