Preserving Fluorescent Glowing flowers (pics!)

Hello all,
I am new to the forum and excited to join this community!

I have been experimenting with preserving blacklight glowing flowers. Unfortunately, the elimination of water has also eliminated the fluorescent pigment in my first attempts using silica gel+microwaving.
I was wondering if you all had any ideas how to preserve the pigment and shape of the flowers.
The flowers are made by allowing them to absorb water+hilighter fluid.

What I am considering:
-Silica gel drying for 5 days (no microwaving) - however based on the silica gel and microwaving results, I am doubtful that this will work.
-Glycerin
-Waxing
-Combination of those just listed.

I am hoping to make a floral centerpiece to hang in my room under blacklight. Any help on how to best preserve this is much appreciated!
