I'm wondering how to go about freeze-drying flowers for arrangements. Is it too expensive or even possible for a small operation to undertake? Thanks for the help, Dave

RE: freeze drying????

I think a starter unit costs about $10,000, and doesn't hold a whole lot. Plus, the process isn't real quick -- a couple of days rather than a couple of hours. I think there's a reason why it's basically limited to preserving wedding bouquets -- the ads I've seen with prices run $300-$700 a pop.
