Stacie, Flowers with what I call "flat faces" like Pansies or Anemones press best. If you pressed your Daffodils, it would spoil their graceful trumpet shape.

Daffodils dry well and hold their color and shape when dried using silica gel. I'm attaching a link which explains the method. Costs about $10 but can be reused indefinitely for so many flowers. Or you can use sand/borax mixture or even cat litter.

They can be displayed in a flat tray or basket, or fill a tall glass cylinder with them.

For your journal, maybe photos of your Daffodils could be added? But you could press many other flowers/ferns for your journal. (And let your babies make a handprint with watercolor in your journal!) josh
