Gotta try it!

I am a cutflower grower and am impressed by this forum. I dried some celosia in my barn last year just for fun and my wife has them still. I kinda forgot about drying and then came upon this forum. I think I am hooked. I have some larkspur I wish to dry. Any peculiarities I should be concerned about? Should I remove foilage?

I think most people remove the foliage..I do. The foliage of most flowers turns brown and shrinks into a gnarly mess..I find it best to use dried grasses or dried pressed ferns or other pressed foliage in an arrangement. Since you would have so many flowers to experiment with, I'm hoping you'll post often how your trials go...I'm adding a site I've fond helpful. jo

Here is a link that might be useful: Preserved Gardens

I agree that you should strip the foliage, and Larkspur is best dried before all of the flower buds open. Hang them so air can circulate around the bunches.
