| Hi! I was wondering if anyone has grown Salvia nemorosa
'Plumosa'. It has a plume-type bloom, instead of the usual salvia type. Any information would be appreciated. Sylvie |

| Yes, we've grown it. The flowers dry very nicely, although they become less frothy in the process, and we harvest them throughout the summer. The plant seems to be a little smaller than other S. nemorosas, but it has the same awful cat-box smell when you touch the foliage. Fortunately, the dried flowers have no scent. |

| Thanks for the quick reply, Neil. One more question-in photos, the blooms look very dark. Since colors usually darken in the drying process, I was afraid they'd dry too dark. Is the dried shade still purplish, or does it dry almost black? Thanks again for your help. |

| They darken somewhat, but remain purplish rather than black. |

| I'll add the Salvia Plumosa to my order then. It's always fun to try something new. I hope you have a wonderful gardening year. Thanks so much. Sylvie |
