 o
drying Cherry blossom petals

I want to dry some cherry blossom petals to use for my daughter's wedding.
Is there a way to just dry the petals?
I've tried the oven--wrinkled all up.
the dehydrator--still some wrinkling,
and they either fall through the dehydrator trays or I have to place them on the plastic tray.

I'm wondering about drying petals using kittylitter in the microwave or dehydrator--But how will I get all the petals out of the medium without ruining the petals?

The blossoms are at their peak right now so I don't have much time to spare.
Any ideas appreciated.

RE: drying Cherry blossom petals

Press your cherry blossoms, they turn out great. I assume you don't have presses or you'd have done that already, so use books. Put a sheet of paper in the book, put the blossoms on the paper, cover with another sheet, close the book and put something heavy on the book, like maybe a few more books. You can do a few layers in each book. I put a link to better instructions at the bottom if you need it.

Here is a link that might be useful: Flower Pressing Instructions
