Preserving Pressed Flowers - type of paper used?

Hi - I know the tricks about keeping pressed flowers out of the heat and sun, in a closed container, but what I'm wondering about is the type of paper flowers should be stored in. I press lots of verbena, for example. I use either regular white typing paper or construction paper (both dark and light colours). Sometimes even after a couple of weeks I'll check the flowers and they're fading -this is after they've been dried in the microwave. I wonder if it's the bleach in the paper?

Can anyone suggest something else to store them in? Wax paper? Cotton?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated :-)
