hey everyone! I love to press flowers and would like to know what kind of glue or other product would be best to attach them to my projects. Any info would be helpful. Thanks!

Naturegirl3: don't know if you're still looking for info, but I just saw your question. I glue dried/pressed flowers onto glass candle holders using nothing but white Elmer's glue. I don't know what you're glueing your flowers to, but if they will adhere to glass, and look great, it should work on most things. Once it's dried, I apply another thin coat. Dries clear. Use a small good quality paintbrush to flatten out petals as you brush from inside out so you won't tear petals. It doesn't yellow or crack. Wash brush out in warm soapy water. Good luck

Naturegirl13,

There are several glues you can use for flowers but there are two in particular that are very good. I actually sell both on my website: http://www.orchidaepressedflowers.com. And I use them exclusively in my pressed flower art.

The first is called Botanical Glue and it's great because it has a UV protectant in it and the consitencey is great to work with - a bit thicker than Elmers. It has a fiarly fast drying time.

The second is called PPA or Perfect Paper Adhesive. I recommend the matte version as the glossy version makes the end product look fake. It has a consisency a little thinner than Elmers so it gives you a littel more drying time to play around and move your flowers. It also has the UV protectant quality.

Hope that helps and just email me if you need any help.

do you paint over the top of the flower as the second coat? Or will this tear the flower?
