saw someone had made a frame using leaves that had been stripped of all greenery.
Does anyone know how to do this? They had then dyed them different colors.

I don't know about the dyeing, but this link gives recipes for skeletonizing leaves.

Here is a link that might be useful: Skeletonizing leaves

The link is now http://www.almanac.com/garden/crafts/skeletonleaves.php

In the fall, I pick up magnolia leaves around my neighbourhood, and scatter them under shrubs in my own yard, leaving them for the slugs and bugs to skeletonize naturally. They are ready by springtime!
