votive candles - what else?

I'm an avid gardener (2 1/2 acres - almost all perennials), but I'm brand new to pressing flowers. As a birthday present, my husband constructed a flower press for me out of two pieces of wood, some sheets of corrugated cardboard, and watercolor paper held together with four very long screws. I pressed some flowers three weeks ago, and I am totally hooked! They came out beautifully!

I want to make a basket of pressed flower Christmas gifts for all the ladies in my family. I used watered-down mod podge today to glue some pressed flowers to clear glass votives. They look great, but I think they need another coat or two.

I was also looked online and found notecards (with matching clear acrylic stickers), bookmarks, breakfast trays, paperweight rocks...

Does anyone have any more good craft ideas using pressed flowers?

I would also like some advice on how to make a gift pack of notecards that look clean and "professional".

Thanks!

Hi! I envy your huge garden!
I've been pressing flowers for years now, and have been able to make a modest income from them.

Why not try your hand at making small pictures with them? Or embellish a blank journal, make bookmarks, packets of gift tags, or place them on tiny tiles and make refrigerator magnets.

If you'd like, take a look at my website and see what I do with them. Happy Pressing!
