Beeswax dipping to preserve?

Posted by lazygardens Sunset Zone 13 (My Page) on

I just saw a local "crafty" show, and they were dipping flowers into molten beeswax (plain or lightly tinted with candle coloring) to preserve them.

Has anyone tried this? I can't find a good how-to on the web, just lots of sites selling already made-up bouquets.
