Drying Love in the Mist

I have a nice bunch of Nigella which I WS'd this year. What should the pods look like when its time to pick them ?
Also what is the best drying method.? Most things I tie in a bundle & hang upside down in an open closet area.
Thanks for any advice.

Hi,Poppygal. You can pick the pods as soon as they have gotten the burgundy stripes, and before the top opens to release the seeds. They are easy to dry; hanging them in your closet should be fine. |

Thanks Sylky-I've just been out in the cool of the evening and picked some. :) Poppy |

Poppygal, Love in the Mist pods keep a long time. I still have a bushel basket of them that is several years old. The pods are still very pretty. Madge |
