my son recently got married. he thought it would be a nice gift to give his wife a picture frame with petals from the roses she carried at their wedding glued to the frame. the problem is, we have no idea how to do this and he only has one rose. anyone know how this can be done? thank you much for any help.

Bill, I'm sorry you didn't get an earlier reply...I guess most folks here are like me and only check in once a week or so. It's probably far too late to try and preserve the rose petals using silica gel, or even by pressing. I'd suggest your son buy a bag of rose-based potpourri, and add the wedding rose to it.

By the first anniversary, perhaps he can give her roses, learn here how to preserve them, and then make her mirror frame. It's really a sweet thought. jo
