best time to harvest celosia

I'm growing crested celosia for the first time this year. With terrible germination, I only have four plants, so there's not much room for experimenting. How do I know when it's time to harvest these for dried bouquets? Thanks for sharing your experience.

Although I've never dried this type of celosia, my guess would be as soon as the flower head seems to be fully opened, but before it starts to set seed--I would almost think that the silica gel would be the preferred method here. Best wishes!
