What makes certin papers better for color preservation pressings?

could you please tell me what materials i should use for pressing brightly pink and purple flowers and leaves to preserve color and why it works?thank you. links are helpfull too.rosie.

Rose, Here are some earlier discussions of blotting paper. As I understand it, the quicker the flower dries the better, therefore the more absorbent the drying papers the better. I just use phone books to press, but I just play around, mostly with foliage. josh
