Drying Cali Lillies

My boyfriend just got me a beautiful arrangement of cali lillies (my all time fav). Now they are starting to die and wilt. I was wondering if there is anyway I could a) save them or b) dry them that way I can enjoy them longer without paying the fortune to buy more.

RE: Drying Cali Lillies

Fleshy flowers like calla usually have to be dried with dessicants like borax, sand or silica gel. I don't have any worthwhile experience using dessicants, but here's a link to a good discussion of them, and maybe someone with more experience will chime in.

Here is a link that might be useful: University of Kentucky -- drying flowers
