Good Book for Begninner

| Could anyone please suggest a good book for beginners on flower drying? Hopefully it would include the best flowers to dry, when to pick and a detailed explanation of the best method to use to dry them. I am not sure if it is on subject, but I would also like to learn about collecting and drying seeds. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

| let me know if you find one! we've been looking all year and can only find floral arrangement or silk flower books with small sections on how to dry flowers. as for drying seeds, i can't remember the name right now (sorry) but there is a gardening book on seed saving, it's in paperback and has a beautiful black and beige design made of seeds on the front. it lists how to save almost every seed you can think of. i should be able to remember it i have a copy somewhere... seeds of change carries it. |

The books I would suggest for what to grow/how to grow are: The Complete Book of Everlastings by Mark and Terry Silber and An Everlasting Garden by Jim and Dottie Becker. For books on design I would suggest Everlasting Harvest by Leslie Dierks, The Book of Dried Flowers by Malcolm Hillier and Colin Hilton, and The New Captured Harvest By Terence Moore. I noticed that you are from Ma. I am too, if you can't locate these, perhaps I can lend you mine. Deirdre |
