| Hi, I would like to try pressing some orchid flowers and was wondering if anyone out there has tried it and what recomendations you might have? I am also concerned about any problems the column might give me. Also, is microwave pressing better than regular pressing? Does it help preserve the color better? Thanks, John |

| John, I've never had the opportunity to try drying orchids so was hoping someone else could help you, but I'm attaching a link which might help. Unless you paticularly want a flat pressed specimen, I'd think using silica gel either in or out of microwave would show the lovely form of the orchid better. Also I think using silica preserves the color better than pressing. josh |
