Gutter water distribution system

I have an area on the west side of my house where I seeded with a blue gramma/buffalo mix last August (at the start of the belated "monsoons"). The section close to the house is under very deep eaves, so gets virtually no natural water and, I think, will be too shaded for the grass to really get hold.

Does anyone have a decent gutter water distribution system that they can share photos and/or specifications on? I'm thinking that I can run plastic gutter pipe down the house to almost ground level, then run more pipe along the house, sloping gently. This run of gutter pipe (square) would somehow be capped at the end and have drilled perforations along the run for water to exit. I could then put in low shrubs or other foundation plantings and have this area as a bed, separate from the lawn.

My desire to do this springs from 1) the water that comes off the house on that side isn't currently doing anything but digging holes in the new gramma lawn and 2) any foundation plantings under the eaves would need substantial supplimental water. This area does get a couple of hours of direct afternoon sun, so I should be able to find some plants that would do well.

So far, with the gutter spilling out in one spot right at the corner of the house, I haven't seen any problems with moisture in the crawlspace. So I don't THINK that distributing the water along the foundation would cause any water damage. But I could turn the system to run out into the yard in the event (ha ha) of a really wet summer.

Any help with the design, particularly photos of a non-catchment distribution system, would be appreciated!
