I have a family member from Houston staying with me.

I was saying that here in Sydney I use 2 wetting aids to help in the garden and pots:

1 Crystals that can be place in pots or in the garden that expand to hold water

2 A powder to sprinkle on top of soil that is water resistant and which water usually just runs off.

Do you have products like that available in Houston? I would be surprised if these wetting products are not available to you. I use one here that I understand uses chemicals that will not leave a nasty residue in the soil.
