we get very little rain so what is advantage of a rain barrel |

| Even with very little rain the barrel can fill. And when mine are empty, I fill with the hose, then wait a day or so to use. Believe the chlorine in the tap water gasses away. My nearest spigot is very low functioning - some sort of crimp in the line inside the house, so my barrel is great for watering my fairly small garden. |
