Wonderful idea!!

I use them for my violets and why I never thought to do the rest of my plants out on the patio???
Anything to save water, money and especially the plants. It's amazing how sometimes the simple ideas are the last to make sense. Thanks for the post!

Wait a minute: what pots? Glazed? Not-glazed? If the latter, where, please tell me where, do you find them? I've been using plastic pretzel tubs with holes, but would much rather have crockery - is unglazed earthenware what I want?

please let the rest of us know the method to this madness. Could you please explain in detail how to go about this way of watering.I am always looking for more efficient ways to garden. Thanks

If you access web site: rainemaker.com you may get a better idea of the system (I apologise for the site - slow and hard to read - I promise to redo it in the near future). But, the partially glazed pots approx. 2" dia. are hooked-up in series via 1/4" tubing and pots are buried at the root ball. The 1/4" tube goes to a storage container or bucket and feed is via differential pressure (height).

If you e-mail me direct I could send you better pictures which may be more descriptive of the system. Believe me it is a "piece-of-cake" to install - quick and easy.
