We had some rain yesterday (yes!)...I don't know what the total was, but it rained quite hard for five to ten minutes at a time, several times, where I live (South Salt Lake County). I could almost hear my garden going "Ahhhhhhhhh...".

There are some clouds gathering now, as I type this, but I'm not going to hold my breath!

One time, a few weeks ago, the clouds gathered, looking fierce, and capable of tremendous wind, rain and possible damamge to property--yet, as the system approached this area, the moisture seemed to disappear, as it came over this droughty section of the east coast--the weather crew, on the local tv station, did say that drought was "self-perpetuating", so I wasn't so surprised when this happened--just crest-fallen.
However, I, too, thank God, for every, single drop that He brings our way--and I'm growing a new perspective on water, and how not to take it so much for granted! I know I've heard those ominous warnings, for years, from conservationists, about the dangers to the water supplies from waste, and drought, but I think it sometimes takes actually experiencing deprivation to cause one to really learn. They say "A picture is worth a thousand words", and I am learning how much more valuable a bad experience can be, even than a picture:~)

Didn't get any more rain out of those clouds yesterday, but it WAS cooler.
