Interesting! I think we'll soon see what will happen when water becomes a truly scarce resource, as it is in Australia now. Those people cannot afford to waste water and the population is already at the limit of its water resources.

Not too long ago, a Purdue University researcher came up with a way to turn sludge into building bricks. He engineered it such that there was no danger of heavy metals leaching out even in acid rain, and it was odorfree. But this amazing technology has not caught on because people are too squeamish. Still, it's an idea ahead of its time- who knows what the desperate future holds?
