Edible Landscape

confused about dianthus?

I have both dianthus caryophyllus and dianthus barbatus. In edible lists I see both, but never in the same list, only one or the other but the description seems to always be referring to the dianthus....the tiny flowers, not the classic carnation. Anyone know, are they both edible?

well I've never seen a dear eat it maybe the flowers are eatable please be car full
