According to the Plants for a Future website, all the Malvas have edible leaves. I tried chewing some last fall and they were pleasantly mucilaginous. I am growing several new ones this year. Malva "Mystic Merlin" came up in only 3 days!

Abelmoschus esculentus is Okra. AN Asian ABelmoschus is edible too A. manihot.
