Help for Teeny Tiny Yard

Are there any really skinny or compact edible plants that might fit our sorry situation?

We live in the Pacific NW. Our yard is only 20ft deep by 60ft wide. We put in a 3ft wide veggie garden and two dwarf blueberries against the house (where it's sunny). One end of the yard is engulfed by the trampoline, the other slopes starting about 12ft in. Because of the fences there is usually a shadow about a foot in (are there any edible vines that would grow in that situation?). We need some grass for the kids, but would love to ring the perimeter (haha) with something pretty and useful. In particular, something for the fences (semi-shaded), and something for the sloped area (sunny but only about 12x12.

I usually hang out in the home forum, but have been so impressed by your knowledge and ingenuity. So, if there's any hope, it's here!

Thanks for your help.
