 o
yucca

Does anyone know if all types of yucca, or what types of yucca, have an edible root? I have a very large yucca aloifolia (spanish bayonette) that I have been skewered by for the last time. It has to go! I can think of no better way to get back at this plant than to eat it. LOL Please let me know.
Thanks Pat

RE: yucca

The Peterson Field Guide to edible plants says the flowers and fruit of the Yucca Aloifolia is edible but makes no mention of the root.

RE: yucca

there is a cassava tree with an edible root that's called yuca
but the stores often misname it yucca. so often people think that it's the same plant.
