Asimina (pawpaw) - pruning

What is good time for pruning of asimina? Now before blooming/sprouting like apples or during vegetation? I know that asimina does not require some intensive pruning but I need to make some regenerative pruning (small and thin shoots on 15 years old plant).
Thank you for experience!! I grow pawpaws, american persimmons, northern pecans, hicans, etc. in Europe, zone 6.

I just pruned one of my pawpaws yesterday. I would try to do it before it leaves out, but the old adage about pruning whenever the pruners are sharp.

Glad to see you're growing all of that in Europe, it can't have been too easy to find.
