Sea Buckthorn soil prep

| Got some coming next month and need some tips on preparing the hole. And can they be easily propagated? |

| I had typical clay soil and removed half of it, adding pumice, sand, and compost to make up the difference. The roots don't seem to have any problem spreading through clay soil, though. Drainage is more important than precise soil content. Do not use any fertilizer with big numbers, sea buckthorn fixes its own nitrogen. I have not tried any propagation; One Green World initially had troubles but now reproduce them by the thousands. It will be interesting to see if these plants fruit in the southeastern U.S. |

| My plant appears to freely sucker at the soil line. I just un-attach them with some roots when they are 6-8 inches tall.

| I love the ease of this plant. Its very accomodating my less-than-wonderful gardening skills. I do have a lot of suckers that have popped up from roots that escaped the raised bed the parent plants live in. Be forewarned. |
