Growing rhubarb in Texas?

Has anyone successfully grown rhubarb in north Texas (near Dallas)? I'm moving there and have heard it doesn't do well in the heat.

It won't grow here. Sometimes it gets up to 98 degrees here in the summer.

I'm in Houston, 5 hours south of you. Rhubarb can only be grown as an annual, in shade, in the northern part of Texas, and it will look very sad. If you don't mind replanting it every year, then it is worth a try.
