Probably useless, but can I graft an edible prunus onto

Probably useless, but can I graft an edible prunus onto a cherry laurel? I'm stuck with one and I'd like to have something else there (really. Who wants a cherry laurel? )

If anyone knows anything about this please let me know. The cherry laurel is poisonous but its fruit is not so would a graft produce edible fruit? I'd like to know. Thanks.

I checked out Cherry Laurel (Prunus laurocerasus) and I'd say go for it. If it were me I'd try to graft other prunus onto that tree. What do you have to lose?
