| Are any kind of banana leaves good for wrapping food in for cooking? Or does it have to be specific types of banana? Thank you. |

| The ornamental bananas aren't poisonous per se, just bitter and starchy with large seeds. And that's just the fruit. Any kind of banana leaves should be fine. Theoretically the darker colored banana leaves may be slightly bitter, but the likelihood that this will transfer to whatever is wrapped inside them is vanishingly small. |
