| I started a mango from seed and everything grew fine. It was about 6 inches when i left for vacation. I had someone water it while I was gone. When I came back, it grew another stem! How did this happen? I'm certain I only planted 1 seed!

| Some mangoes as well as other species have polyembryonic seeds so you can easily get more than one plant per seed. These are frequently true-to-type (the same as the mother tree). If you can easily separate them and they have their own roots, then thats what's going on.Paul. |
