What is this Vine plant

I will aplogize I don't have a picture however I have this vine plant which looks like small purple star flowers with yellow center which are turning into small green "pods" which right now are turning red. Just wondering what this is. The previous owners planted this vine and have no idea what it is.

Thanks for your help oh and I live in Bowmanville Ontario Canada
